Batched THC-Infused Cocktails

Holiday hosting just got a little buzz without the booze...

Holiday hosting season is officially here, from Halloween parties and Friendsgiving to Christmas dinners and New Year’s Eve. And while I love a festive cocktail as much as the next person, I do not love waking up the next morning wondering why three glasses of wine felt like a personal attack.

If you’re trying to drink less this holiday season without turning every party into a sparkling-water convention, one of my favorite swaps is a batched THC-infused drink. You still get a fun, grown-up option to sip on, everyone gets a few giggles, and you can skip the alcohol hangover the next morning. These Strawberry & Jalapeño spirits are both fabulous and new to the market - I was so impressed with the flavor for how healthy they are (only 25 cals and 2g of sugar per 1.5 oz serving in the 5mg bottles I got). They come in two strengths and are great simply mixed with soda as well.

Below are a couple of my favorite recipes to batch ahead for a party, so guests can pour their own and you can actually enjoy the night instead of playing bartender. Just make sure it’s clearly labeled, kept separate from the regular drinks, and served in measured portions so everyone knows exactly how much THC they’re having.

Zero-Proof Fall Sangria Recipe

Spicy Skinny Margarita Serves 16-17

  • 8 oz lime juice

  • Tajin or chili salt

  • Slices of jalapeño and/or lime to garnish.

  1. Combine diet lemonade, spirit and lime juice. Chill until ready to serve.

  2. To prepare your glasses, rim them with lime and salt and fill with ice.

  3. Gently pour into a glass, garnish and enjoy. Cheers!

About 5mg THC per 7 oz of margarita mixture

Strawberry Skinny Margarita Serves 8-10

Ingredients:
  • 3 C strawberry margarita mix

  • 2 C Strawberry 5mg Spirit

  • 8 oz lime juice

  • Coarse sea salt

  • Slices of strawberry and/or lime to garnish.

Instructions:
  1. Combine first three ingredients and stir well.

  2. To prepare your glasses, rim them with lime and salt and fill with ice.

  3. Gently pour into a glass, garnish and enjoy. Cheers!

About 7mg THC per 5.5 oz of margarita mixture

Jalapeño Cucumber Cooler Serves 12

Ingredients:
  • (1) 15 oz jar pressed cucumber juice (you can certainly make your own with a juicer)

  • 2 C Jalapeño 5mg Spirit

  • 1 litre sparkling lime soda

  • Optional: slices of jalapeño, cucumber and/or lime to garnish. This would be great with a salt+lime zest rim as well!

Instructions:
  1. Combine cucumber juice, spirit and sparkling water. Serve this one immediately as the soda can go flat if chilled too long.

  2. Gently pour into a glass filled with ice, garnish and enjoy. Cheers!

About 5mg THC per 6 oz of mixture

Buzzed Strawberry Lemonade Serves 18

Ingredients:
  • 1 Gallon Diet Lemonade

  • 1 bottle Strawberry 5mg Spirit

  • Optional garnishes: slices of strawberry and lemon

Instructions:
  1. Combine diet lemonade and spirit.

  2. To prepare your glasses, rim them with lime and salt and fill with ice.

  3. Gently pour into a glass, garnish and enjoy. Cheers!

Weekends don't have to be an all-or-nothing choice between drinking all night and not participating in the fun. Sometimes it's just about having better options around. Batch one of these before your next party, put it out alongside your alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, and let your guests choose what works for them. A little THC, a lot of laughing, and no wine headache while your kids are screaming for pancakes at 7 a.m.? That's my kind of holiday party.
