How to make pineapple flowers at home for the perfect garnish on mocktails, desserts and more!
These adorable pineapple flowers are delicious to munch on and so simple to make with just one ingredient: pineapples.

How to Make Pineapple Flower Garnishes
Step 1: Cut off the top and bottom of a whole pineapple so it sits flat.
Step 2: Slice off all the skin and remove the "eyes" of the pineapple by cutting them out or a melon cuber works well for this.
Step 3: Thinly slice the pineapple. A mandoline is helpful if you have one, but you can do it with a good sharp knife as well.

Step 4: Blot with paper towels to remove as much moisture as possible. Put the slices on a baking sheet lined with silicone baking mats or parchment paper.
Step 5: Bake at 225 degrees F for one hour, then flip. Bake an additional 45 min then check to see if they are done. They should be almost totally dry and lightly golden around the edges. Don't be afraid to cook them longer, just pull them out once the edges start to brown.
Step 6: Remove from the oven and immediately transfer each flower to a muffin cup, pressing the center to the bottom. Let cool completely, at least an hour or they can sit out over night.

When cooled, the slightly curled shape and uneven edges mimic the look of petals. Use the pineapple flowers to top maragrita mocktails, cupcakes or other sweet treats. These can be stored in an airtight container at room temp for about 10 days. Watch a 30-second, step-by-step video of this recipe on my Instagram. Cheers!
